Happy New Year!!
by Sage Brush Gun Dogs on 01/21/12
Suzette and I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!
Sage Brush Gun Dogs LLC had a very good year in 2011, we would like to thank all who put their trust in us with one of our Pups and we love the pictures and the updates we get from many of our clients.
The dogs were very busy in 2011 as it has been our best guide season ever, and I want to thank all that gave Willy, Anna, Minnie, Isla and me, the pleasure of taking you out hunting. We can only hope you had as much fun as we did. The preserve season will continue through March 31st 2012.
We also want to take time to thank all who brought their young dogs to us for training in 2011. We will be starting up our training program in Mid February (weather permitting}. Every year we learn things that we can do better to improve our program and we have made some significant changes for the 2012 training season, please take a look at our training page, and feel free to contact us for more information.

Last week was a busy fun week, 5 days straight of guiding, one group 3 days straight. Willy worked his butt of for 5 days straight on the 5th day on the morning he had a run in with some barbwire, he has 10 stitches Saturday and he looks like a million bucks hasn't limped once. He is one tough boy!!!

Well it's been a month but we have been quite busy, Anna and Willy had 9 beautiful pups. 5 girls and 4 boys turn 4 weeks tomorrow. We are keeping two from this litter and the seven others are already spoken for. This litter I had hoped to have late winter, but Willy had a different idea and as they say it only takes once!! Anna is such a good dog she is is fantastic shape and loves her pups!! Pups are eating soaked food and drinking water so Anna will be coming off them shortly, She should be ready for October 1st when hunt season opens.
It has been busy with training everyone wants their dogs ready for the hunt season, weather has cooled a bit which is a big help but the wind has just stuck around much longer that normal. While I'm busy training, Chris Goegan of Hi Point Kennels is training Snap whom I recently acquired and Minnie and they will begin running Field Trials next week through the fall.
The preserve hunt season has started and Willy ran his first guide of the season last weekend, he is one fine dog title or not this boy can hunt!! Looking forward to the hunt season and guiding through fall and winter.
